Standing With Families in Their Hardest Moments
As you may have seen in the news, Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is increasing the reward in the search for their mother, Nancy, in hopes of generating additional leads. During that same announcement, she also shared the family is making a $500,000 gift to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Every day, families of missing children across this country are living with pain and uncertainty. Their support will help NCMEC provide guidance, resources and hope to families experiencing similar grief and searching for answers.
As Savannah shared on her Instagram, “Today we are donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for their work in helping families who are coping with loss and actively looking for those who are lost. We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need, and need prayers, and need support.”
Their donation is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when a family is in crisis, they deserve someone to stand with them. We are honored by their trust and inspired by their dedication to strengthening support for all families in crisis.
Our hearts remain with the Guthrie family as they continue to fight for Nancy.
Everyone can make a difference. Here are three meaningful ways you can join our mission today:
1. Stay informed and help amplify missing children.
Follow @NCMEC on social media to stay up to date on child safety trends and emerging issues. When you see a missing child poster, share it. A single post can reach someone who holds the key to bringing a child home.
2. Talk with the children in your life about safety.
NCMEC offers free, age-appropriate resources for children, families and educators to help make those conversations easier and more effective.
3. Support our efforts.
Make a donation to help sustain this critical work. NCMEC is a nonprofit organization, and our programs rely on the generosity of those who share our commitment to child safety.
Every child deserves a safe childhood.
