Turning Everyday Screens Into Tools for Hope: Introducing the Missing Child Poster Network

01-20-2026

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is excited to announce the launch of the Missing Child Poster Network, a free Fire TV app that allows businesses and individuals to display real-time missing children posters on Fire TV–enabled televisions and devices.

Powered by Global Software Applications (GSA), the app uses NCMEC’s official missing children poster database to display accurate, up-to-date case information tailored to a user’s geographic location. The goal is to expand public awareness and encourage community participation in the search for missing children using screens already present in homes and businesses.

“Public awareness plays a critical role in helping locate missing children,” said John Bischoff, vice president of the Missing Children Division at NCMEC. “This app makes it easy for businesses and individuals to take part in the search by sharing verified information in places people already gather.”

GSA developed the app at no cost to NCMEC.

“When a child is missing, every second matters — and every screen can make a difference,” said Kathryn Koning, CEO of GSA. “We’re offering this app at no cost because we believe technology should be a force for good, a force that helps bring children home.”

NCMEC encourages businesses with front- or back-of-house screens - such as restaurants, retail locations, offices and waiting areas -to download and use the app. Individuals can also install it on personal devices to help raise awareness locally.

The Missing Child Poster Network app is available for free through the Amazon Fire TV Store or at:
